The present work aims to relate the participants’ perception of a psychotherapy group for couples on which one of the consort is carrying a severe mental disturbing, about his psychotherapy experience held in the context of a day hospital. Individual interviews were held into three distinct moments: before the insertion in the group, after the group sessions and at the end of the group process. The results show that, in the participants’ evaluation, this intervention’s modality has benefit effects so in the patient’s treatment as in the improvement of the couple relationship.
