Abstract

FERNANDES, Waldemar José. Perspectivas para formação de grupoterapeutas na saúde e educação. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2001, vol.2, n.2, pp. 69-77. ISSN 1677-2970.

The author writes about the formation of group therapists in two interlaced areas: Health and Education, and we must remember that learning is therapeutic and that psychotherapy teaches a lot. Three main aspects are focused in this formation: the Therapeutic Groups, the Supervising Groups and the Reflection Groups - mainly talking about the author’s personal experience. As for the Therapeutic Group, the author thinks it is better to start the analytical process as soon as possible and it should not be interrupted soon. The Supervising must take place in an emotional education/learning atmosphere. The supervisor is usually idealized and there are important expectations that should explain his choice, similarly to the analytical process. The reflection Group allows important group experience and can give the students understanding of this particular group of groups, which is an institution. It makes it possible to check how much they feel they belong and determine the institutional characteristics. It is shown that behind a beginner in groups there is a potential therapist. His potential and realizations need to be recognized and this is supposed to happen in the supervising group, in the therapeutic group, in the reflection group and in the theoretical classes.
