The Author collaborated with an O.N.G. organizing a series of workshops for peasant women, most of them indians, in different States of the Mexican Republic. The workshops were devised under three main lines: Self-esteem, Gender, and Life Philosophy. The work was done with “promotoras”, women leaders in their rural communities. The objective was to help them improve their quality of life. The method chosen was Group work, as it is believed to be the best way to achieve the expected results, due to their creative and transforming capacity and to the possibility of reaching a larger number of women.
