Based on the main ideas of Albert Eiguer (1998) the intent of this work is to analyze the “Party” as a group manifestation, mainly as a tentative religari of family bonds. The myriad of meanings of the party as a family group expression were sought in literary and film works herein discussed. The article uses the psychoanalytical theoretical model of group analysis, which considers present tin the family structure two types of representations: the social macro context and the Oedipus complex which drives the desire. The party’s analysis, as a group manifestation, confirms once more what Kaës (1998) has affirmed, “the subject’s questions is defined, essentially, in the space ant time of generation, from the family and from the group.”
