Abstract

DIAS, Tárcia Regina da Silveira. How important it is for groups to work with the deaf’s family. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2004, vol.5, n.5, pp. 44-49. ISSN 1677-2970.

This experience has been carried out within a bilingual educational service for the deaf and their families. For families, the service was rendered in groups, according to Pichon-Rivière’s operative technique.  Every session had from 05 to 13 participants. During such period, the group has presented its participants taking the identity of a member of the deaf’s family, being able to create bonds and strengths in order to contribute for movements within the family, the school, and the community, bringing a positive attitude as to group work.
