Abstract

OLMOS, Jozélia Regina Díaz. Life tales, marks of live: Re-appropriation of elderly memories and experiences. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2004, vol.5, n.5, pp. 71-76. ISSN 1677-2970.

The present study is a work with a group of elderly people during the Clinical Psychology stage in a private University. It aims to contribute to the promotion of health through the remembrance and the exchange of experiences, in a environment of “listening” and “well received”. The new situation, made possible by memory and ancestrality values, transformed the loss of physical strength and the youth, in a gain for the elderly, facilitating the rupture with isolation, strengthening the social bonds and contributing to the generation of feelings of social inclusion.

Keywords : Elderly memories; Psychologist formation; Narrative workshop.
