Abstract

IZAURIETA, Miren de; FERNANDES, Beatriz Silverio  and  FERNANDES, Waldemar José. The experience of a reflection groups in two countries with coordinators of different nationalities. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.1, pp. 08-17. ISSN 1677-2970.

The aim of this paper is to investigate some questions related to the use of the technique of Reflection Group as a living experience; that is, what people look for in this type of group. The most frequent themes that appear are particularities related to a multicultural group and particularities of the coordinating couple: a Brazilian man and a Mexican woman and a Brazilian observer. The Reflection Group is a modality of Operative Groups with a broader task, with its peculiarities, similarities and differences. For the coordinators and for the observer it is an efficient research and study tool for a group situation without a preestablished theme. This binational experience reconfirms a theoretical model and confirms that in a group unexpected moments are constant and that each one reveals a facet of our unconscious world, which allows us to reflect and to grow easily.

Keywords : Reflection group; Group; Coordination.
