This paper aims at undertaking an analysis of the dynamics of the psychic formation within an institution. This formation is established by the individual psychic content as well as by the group of individuals who constitute the institution. Such interaction is a complex one as each individual brings along his/her own internalized set of rules, objectives and values. It is at this level of analysis and on the basis of the own institutional experiences and relevant background reading of Käes, Bleger and Bion that the authors aim at investigating the connections established at the psychic space of the institution and their relationship with institutional suffering.
