Abstract

CASTANHO, Pablo de Carvalho Godoy  and  FERNANDES, Maria Inês Assumpção. Some meta-psychological aspects of the linguistic diversity: internal groups and narcissist contracts. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.2, pp. 43-52. ISSN 1677-2970.

We aim at understanding some aspects of the relationship between language diversity and the psychic reality relying on field work and literature research. The role which language differences have regarding identification processes and group frontiers is analyzed. We then propose the existence of “language-specific” internal groups in both Pichon-Rivière’s and Kaës’ conceptions. Narcissism and attacks to narcissism is thought through the category of language and the social marks which are given to different linguistic varieties. Thinking in terms of groups, we try to understand the importance of theses processes to the life of groups and the role the group has in the experience of narcissism.

Keywords : Group; Psychoanalysis; Language; Meta-psychology; Multilingualism.
