Abstract

FERNANDES, Waldemar José. Linking psychoanalysis: how do i work with groups today. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.2, pp. 53-60. ISSN 1677-2970.

After reporting a group-counseling situation, the author of this work discusses selection, procedure and interventions in Linking Psychoanalysis. The terms difference and diversity are differentiated here. Difference implies a polarity, always a way to contrast two other terms. On the other hand, diversity is something that can exist also within a larger number of elements, establishing itself in regards to that as a passage, from the initial absolute difference to the diversity, the biggest characteristic of groups. Diversity embraces the differences, without excluding them as opposites of what we are. The evolution in the psychoanalytical process and learning stages are directly related to the capacity of dealing with the new, something that bothers, scares and hurts, so is seen as an adversity. Finally, we will end examining completely the work in Linking Psychoanalysis, which will be compared to the role of a nautical gyrocompass, guiding ships in their routes.

Keywords : Groups; Diversity; Adversity; Uncertainty; Selected fact.
