Abstract

KODATO, Sergio  and  SANTOS, Manoel Antônio dos. Group process and crisis of pos-modernism: what we see, what sees us!. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.2, pp. 61-75. ISSN 1677-2970.

The authors reflect about the subjectivity crisis around the world nowadays, and about its impact on the social and personal relationships. Putting this issue in a historical perspective, a critical view about the factors that would have developed the impoverishment of the community spirit and of the collective concern over the common good in the past decades was presented. In the authors’ opinion, the outrageous individualism and the uncontrolled consumerism gave new shapes for the life in group. The implications of the post-modernity crisis for the group practices, both in the clinical and educational context, was discussed, underlining the experiences that conform the disorientation of our look over the shadowy times that we live in.

Keywords : Group; Subjectivity; Individualism; Pos-modernity.
