MOTTA, Kátya Alexandrina Matos Barreto; NUNES, Fernanda Costa; MUNARI, Denize Bouttelet  and  MEDEIROS, Marcelo. The group as a tool in the knowledge organizing: ethical aspects. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2007, vol.8, n.1, pp. 00-00. ISSN 1677-2970.

The group has been a tool widely used in scientific inquiries, and as such, it is part of the methodological procedures that must be presented to the research participants when the formal consent to the study accomplishment is requested. Thus, the coordinating researcher gets the group permission to know its experiences, possibilities and dreams. This text has as an aim to present some generated fidgets from the relation between researcher and participant in the research with groups, which is: how to assure the inexistence of interest conflicts and to respect cultural, social, moral, religious and ethical values, as well as the behaviors and customs? How to foresee a procedure that assure the confidentiality, the non-stigmatization and does not provoke damage to the subject? It is proposed that the coordinator researcher has support in the psychological shared contract and in the diagnosis to elaborate the research project, focusing it in the objectives and in the same time same time paying attention in the interest conflicts which possibly come from the approach of the coordinator researcher and the members of the group, anchored in its ethical and social responsibility with the group.
