The article concerns to an alternative practice of psychosocial rehabilitation with users from a mental health public unit. It consists of an expression group, which is achieved through a set of activities related to music and theater, aiming at the increase of communication with the internal and external world. It is both addressed to psychotic and neurotic disturbances. These ideas have been developed through theoretical contributions about the art as a therapeutic agent.
