Abstract

BRANDT, Juan Adolfo. Balint Group: their specificities and its potential for a clinic working relations. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2009, vol.10, n.1, pp. 40-45. ISSN 1677-2970.

In this paper we present the theoretical foundations that sustain the group model created by Michael Balint. The group's objective is to contribute to the education of general practitioners so as to enable them to establish an adequate patient-doctor relationship. The purpose is to open space for discussion about the potential of this group setting regarding the investigation and adjustment of working relations, since we believe that the group's special characteristics do qualify it to better analyze those relations, especially the ones which are required for the exercise of professional activities.
