Resumen

AVILA, Lazslo Antonio. The tensions between individuality and groupality. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2010, vol.11, n.2, pp. 4-9. ISSN 1677-2970.

The present work deals with an irremovable issue (indispensable theme/topic) in any discussion, both theoretical and technical, about human groups. By definition, the group is composed by individuals, although it cannot be reduced to them. The group is a totality, always greater than its constituent parts, the individuals (always greater than the individuals who constitute its parts). Thus, tensions between individuality and groupality are not only part of the conception of what the Group is, but they are also an inherent part of the technical handling of the groups. In order to give basis for our ideas, we use Freud and René Kaës.

Palabras clave : Group; Individual; Psychoanalysis; Group-analysis.
