Abstract

DONNAMARIA, Carla Pontes  and  TERZIS, Antonios. Experiencing the therapeutic group device via the Internet: initial management considerations and ethical challenges. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.2, pp. 17-26. ISSN 1677-2970.

Group psychological care provided at a distance through communication technologies offer an unprecedented condition of disembodied presence. Therapy groups, however, have the potential to reactivate actions and perceptions held by psychic formations of group properties only with group interaction. Possible risks or benefits on this modality are not sufficiently known. Thus, an ongoing research project is hereafter described aimed at characterizing the online group therapy under the support of the psychoanalytic groups. In includes the first management considerations and ethical challenges.
