Abstract

This article reports the use of film resources to welcome Psychology freshmen and to develop psychologists' clinical skills. Three Psychologists and a student conducted weekly activities with volunteers (between 11 and 23 participants) in a clinical training school of a Psychology course. Participants evaluated the project in every six months, in the beginning and in the end of the activities. 31 commercial films were exhibited during 32 encounters among a closed group. Supported by the group work and metaphors in films, participants could share experiences when entering university and the Psychology course.
