Abstract

This paper discusses contemporaneity, questioning what would be our "ZeitGeist", the leading spirit of our time. After posing some of the questions that disturb our contemporary globalized society, we present two points for reflection: 1) the proposal of a new Psychopathology, with a distinct list and a new way of understating standards and deviations on the psychic functioning; 2) the referential analytic-group as a tool for reflecting and intervene in contemporarily inter-subjective situations. We concluded with some basic proposals for the "treatment" of these new presentations of mental disorders.
