This is a qualitative and exploratory research that aims to describe Facebook use among clinical psychology trainees affiliated to a federal public institution. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews with 12undergraduatestudentsenrolled in the last semester of a Psychology degree course. When the students use Facebook, they seek to socialize and get news about Psychology, considering it as a relevant tool from the academic point of view, mainly because it favors the exchange of materials in groups. However, participants also worry about other people´s opinion and the professional image disclosed on Facebook. Students also believe that undergraduate students who are beginning Psychology course post on Facebook without criteria. Researches with distinct methodological designs are required for expansion of the reported findings.

Keywords : social networks; psychologist education; internet.
