Abstract

CUNHA, Vivian Fukumasu da; CECILIO, Mariana Silva; SCORSOLINI-COMIN, Fabio  and  SANTOS, Manoel Antônio dos. Psychotherapy and its vehiculation in the SPAGESP Magazine: analysis of scientific production from 2000 tom 2016. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2016, vol.17, n.2, pp. 03-20. ISSN 1677-2970.

The aim of the study was to understand how psychotherapy has been approached, reflected and problematized in the SPAGESP Magazine, a semi-annual publication of the Society of Analytical Group Psychotherapies of the State of São Paulo. It is a review of the articles published in this journal since its inception in the year 2000, covering the period from 2000 to 2016. Sixteen instalments were consulted and 62 studies published in the period were reviewed, analyzed by the PRISMA strategy. Empirical studies were predominant, with a qualitative focus, with samples and varied instruments, which approached psychotherapy mainly in the group modality and under a psychoanalytic approach. The diversity of studies shows an openness to different intervention proposals, which emphasize the role of the psychotherapist in the movement of encouraging patients/clients to become protagonists in the psychotherapeutic process and that all participants assume co-responsibility in the conduct of treatment. Some specificities in the modalities individual, family and group are pointed out, calling attention to the key element of therapeutic communication in its different forms of expression. The psychotherapy studies published in the Journal investigated contribute significantly to delineate the boundaries of a vast and multifaceted field, still to be better explored.
