Abstract

PALUDO, Simone dos Santos; FERREIRA, Luiza Santos  and  VEGA, Luciana Barbosa da Silva. Dilemmas and ethical challenges in the research about sexual exploration. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2017, vol.18, n.2, pp. 115-128. ISSN 1677-2970.

This article aims to discuss the ethical challenges faced by researchers on sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and to verify how the advances brought by 510/2016 Resolution have been reverberating on the conduction of studies with this population. The planning of studies on this subject dispenses methodological strategies capable of identifying people, places and practices that are constantly hidden. The recent resolution brings important implications, especially regarding the obtainment of free and informed consent of those responsible for children and adolescents at risk, free and informed assent, and confidentiality maintenance versus mandatory denunciation. The feedback of the findings and the organization of protective strategies reaffirm that researchers´ commitment goes beyond the one guaranteed in the resolutions in force so far.

Keywords : sexual exploration; ethics; child; adolescents.
