Abstract

RITER, Helena da Silveira; DELLAZZANA-ZANON, Letícia Lovato  and  FREITAS, Lia Beatriz de Lucca. Purposes about affetive relationships among low-ses adolescents. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2019, vol.20, n.1, pp. 55-68. ISSN 1677-2970.

This work investigates the existence of life projects about affective relationships in low socioeconomic status adolescents and examines the content of these projects. Six adolescents from 14 to 16 years-old participated in a multiple-case study. The instruments used were: (a) bio-sociodemographic data sheet and (b) semi-structured interview on life projects. The results suggest that adolescents have life projects about affective relationships, although they prioritize projects related to work and study. Traditional marriage appears as a model of future affective relationship. Adolescents showed difficulties in reflecting their life projects about affective relationships. Because of this, it is suggested that interventions should be designed that include reflections of young adolescents on their own affective relations, because elaborating life projects have factors that protect against risky behavior.

Keywords : Adolescence; Affective relationships; Life project.
