Abstract

This work emphasizes the conceptualization of the practice of the therapist of reference in the assistance of mental health in a Center of Psicossocial Attention for Children and Adolescents, through the opened listening of three professionals´ speech. This work is part of one research as specialization in Public Health. Based on the historical-political perspective of Michel Foucault, it intends to map the ethical, technical and political habilities desirabled to the professional who assumes the position of this social practice, while someone that contributes to the resoluteness of the attention as well as to the quality of the given attendance. The reports had been object of content analysis, with elaborated categorization a posteriori. Although the difficulties on establishing definitions, it is glimpsed that this practice is based on a qualified listening that allows the suggestion of the best strategies of planning through a therapeutical partnership that involves political engagement and affectivity
