The present study is the experience report of the psychologist  insertion at the Department of Immunology ICHCFMUSP, the objective was to investigate some of the items referral form from the medical staff psychology and in what situations physicians will usually refer their patients. This is a descriptive, qualitative and analytical study, based on analysis of 31 chips for referral documents and interviews for referral with the medical staff. The chips revealed a greater number of female patients, aged from 20 to 55 years, with allergic rhinitis and asthma diagnosis are more present. Doctors refer to forward to the Psychology Department, cases with verbalization of psychological distress and non-adherence to treatment. We noticed a significant difference between what is written and what is said by the medical staff, a fact that indicates the importance of the characterization of the population referred to compression of demand and active team work interconsultation.
