The self-efficacy is a set of the individual’s belief to exercise control over its own behavior and about the events that affect its own life. This variable affects the resilience to adversity and vulnerability against depression. This study identifies and correlates the indicators of self-efficacy, anxiety and depression of patients in cancer treatment. It was collected, Demographic, psychosocial and clinical data of 100 patients, approached during hospitalization, chemotherapy and outpatient consultation of a high complexity hospital. The sample included patients with an average age of 55 years, 64% female, diagnosis time with an average of 2.97 years. In this study, 24% of participants showed anxiety indicators, 27% indicators of depression and, on self-efficacy, high indicators were identified (mean 39.7). It was concluded that low self-efficacy evidences an increase in anxiety and depression in cancer patients. Emotional support can be a protective factor during treatment.
