Abstract

This article is about Prof. Fred S. Keller, his life and his work. It shows how the practices this eminent scientist and educator account for his success as a teacher, as a researcher and as a promoter of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. The article includes testimony of colleagues, alumini and early colaborators about their experiences of working and studying under and with Prof. Keller. Throughout the article it becomes clear that Prof. Keller's art resided on his way of listening, asking questions and making suggestions while teaching. In every statement we see how his love and his profound respect for other human beings deeply affected his students and his friends.
