PASQUALINI, Juliana Campregher; GARBULHO, Norma de Fátima  and  SCHUT, Tannie. Working with kids: early professional guidance as a contribution to child education. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2004, vol.5, n.1, pp. 71-85. ISSN 1984-7270.

According to Social-historical Psychology, the kindergarten age is the period of life when kids start to reproduce adults’ social functions and activities in their games, making up the social reality in which they are inserted, where adult work plays an essential role. Having the relation between people and work as the subject of Professional Guidance, this paper presents a proposal of Professional Guidance programs for kids, and discusses the possibilities and purposes of this kind of job with children. This work describes an intervention project developed with a group of children from a public kindergarten, including meetings with the children’s parents. Professional Guidance with kids was seen to be an important contribution to child schooling, as well as a new possibility for the professional consultant.
