Abstract

IVATIUK, Ana Lucia  and  AMARAL, Vera Lucia Adami Raposo do. Some propositions from behavior analysis for professional guidance. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2004, vol.5, n.2, pp. 21-29. ISSN 1984-7270.

The scientific literature about Professional Guidance has been growing a lot in the last few years and has been studied by the most diverse psychological theories, among them Behavior Analysis. This article aims at doing a bibliography survey of Professional Guidance works, to identify the relevance of this research field for Behavior Analysis. To creat a database, national and international literatures, like publications, books, theses or event annals related to the areas involved, dated from 1975 through 2003 were surveyed. This research was not restricted only to one field of professional guidance as, for instance, the first choice or reorientation of careers, but also included different fields of action, such as: school, clinic or organizations. As a result, several researches on professional guidance focusing behavior analysis were found, although in a fewer number when compared to other theoretical approaches, besides being more used in the international scientific contexts.

Keywords : Vocational guidance; Behavioral analysis; Professional guidance.
