This paper is a bibliography revision of the practices in Vocational Guidance done in Brasil. The main psychology databases and other studies about history of psychology were consulted. The focus is the Brazilian publications, but some references were made to European, North-American and Latino-American productions, that had major influence in development of Psychology and, more specifically, in the development of Vocational Guidance in Brazil. The history of Vocational Guidance presents the definitions, as well as the different theories and methods used. Three perspectives were seen to be relevant in Brazilian Vocational Guidance: the psychometric, the clinical and the social psychological.
