This study was based on theoretical texts and wide professional experience and proposes integrating the use of Psychological Assessment and Vocational Guidance. Vocational Guidance was grounded on the dynamic approach which assumes that career choice is influenced by several aspects, both subjective and objective. Psychological Assessment is argued for considering the Brazilian setting and the latest measures by the Federal Council of Psychology that regulates its use. The author proposes the use of Psychological Assessment which contributes to clarify the client’s processes of career choice.
