AGUIAR, Fernando Henrique Rezende  y  CONCEICAO, Maria Inês Gandolfo. Vocational Guidance according to neo-reichian perspective: the contributions of grounding. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2008, vol.9, n.1, pp. 115-128. ISSN 1984-7270.

Vocational choice implies a deep sense of one’s self and reality. The neo-reichians theories include the body in the therapeutic process and offer great contributions to vocational guidance as they develop self-awareness and autonomy by means of grounding and other type of exercises. This study describes the results of body-oriented vocational guidance interventions with a group of 10 adolescents from a public school doing their last High School term. The group was observed to have developed from immaturity, fantasy and a poor perception of their body to more self-awareness, thus contribuiting with the decision making process, clarifying their understanding about careers an enabling them to make their decisions more confidently.

Palabras clave : Vocational guidance; Grounding; Adolescents; Body-oriented.
