Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Marina Cardoso de  and  COLETA, Marília Ferreira Dela. Adaptation and validation of the Career Development Attitudes Scale (CDA): undergraduate form. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2008, vol.9, n.2, pp. 45-65. ISSN 1984-7270.

This study aimed at verifying the validity and reliability of the Combined Scale of Career Development Attitudes (CDA). Five hundred eighty-one undergraduates from public and private institutions participated in this study. The results of factorial analysis and reliability tests confirmed the factorial structure and indicated satisfactory reliability of scale (a=0,89). The correlation tests and variance analysis proved valid. In general, the results validate CDA scale as an instrument to be used in future researches and evaluate career development programs addressing undergraduates. More studies should be done to validate this instrument to be used in individual assessment.

Keywords : Career development; Career maturity; Validation; Undergraduates.
