Based on a group experience with seven adolescents, this paper reports how each adolescent dealt with vocational issues. The study analyzes some aspects of the psychological assessment, before and after the intervention, by using the data collected from initial and final interviews and during group tasks. It can be said that the adolescents’ choice was made easier as they became less anxious, established a transference relationship of aspirations and overcame the problematic stage. Such results seem to be related to their personal guiding conditions when joining the group, which confirms the need to carry out the psychological assessment. The results also highlight the importance of school and family participation to help create an autonomous attitude to benefit from career counseling.
