Abstract

DUTRA, Joel Souza; VELOSO, Elza Fátima Rosa; FISCHER, André Luiz  and  NAKATA, Lina Eiko. The intelligent careers and how they are perceived by means of organizational climate. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2009, vol.10, n.1, pp. 55-70. ISSN 1984-7270.

This article aims at performing a descriptive analysis of the participants’ perception about the intelligent career competences: knowing how, knowing why and knowing whom. This analysis was carried out as based on an organizational climate research done in 2007, involving 491 companies in activity in Brazil, with 83,576 valid answers. The sample was obtained by convenience and Pearson’s coefficient of correlation was calculated. The results showed that the respondents considered the competences coherent; although there is not a profile associated to the perception of the competences, it was noted that the mature participants perceived more positively the three competence categories.

Keywords : Professional development; Professional competence; Organizational climate.
