This paper describes an experience in Career Guidance done with children of workers at a big food industry. It aimed at reflecting on their life project and the procedures required for job market placement, accounting the youth for the construction of their personal career. It was organized in seven meetings, covering the modules: Self knowledge and Life Project, Influence on Choices; Knowledge of professions and the Labor Market. This paper describes the procedures used, including group techniques, oral and written reports on the experiences mentioned by them as the most significant. The results allowed for the identification of the competencies to be developed for the achievement of personal and career expectations, and reflecting on the influences on the choices for designing their life project.
