Abstract

FURTADO, Adelaine Vianna  and  PEREIRA-SILVA, Nara Liana. Work and persons with intellectual disability: an analysis of scientific production. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.2, pp. 213-223. ISSN 1679-3390.

This study aims to analyze abstracts of scientific publications in the area of inclusion at work and people with intellectual disability. The search was conducted in national and international databases, comprising the period of 2000-2010, giving focus to: research topics, sample size, instruments/techniques for data collection. There were 80 publications localized with a direct relation to the topic, mostly consisting of articles (48.7%). The main topics investigated were "general aspects of inclusion" and "skills to work". There is, in empirical articles, the use of only one technique for data collection and the interview is the most common technique employed (32.3%). The results show the need of studies that can generate subsidies for promoting inclusion, using appropriate instruments.

Keywords : scientific research; intellectual disability; labor market; inclusion.
