FARIA, Liliana  and  LOUREIRO, Nazaré. Multicultural career counseling: theoretical approaches and practical implications. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2015, vol.16, n.1, pp. 11-21. ISSN 1679-3390.

Cultural processes in career counseling have been increasingly receiving attention in the studies of Vocational Psychology. However, there are few studies on this issue. Even the theories that address cultural issues have occidental guidelines. Therefore there are doubts about its suitability to all western cultures and other cultures. This article aims to help the overcoming of this problem. Thus, it is presented a systematic and critical reflection of theories, vocational consultation models and empirical studies that address cultural issues.

Keywords : career counseling; professional and educational guidance; culture; multiculturality.
