There is a lack of research on how vocational guidance approaches the degree of teaching in Psychology. This study aims to establish a connection between the field of vocational guidance and the degree of Psychology teaching. Therefore, it is described, as vocational orientation was emphasized in the state of São Paulo, a relevant theme throughout the history of the Psychology teaching in the secondary school. With the existing gap, the professional orientation loses the knowledge of the degree in teaching Psychology. In the same way, the inclusion of the teaching of vocational counseling in the degree of teaching in Psychology becomes relevant.
