COSCIONI, Vinicius. Comprehensive Theory of Life Projects: Contributions for Basic Education . Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.2, pp. 241-253. ISSN 1984-7270.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2021v22n211.

This conference introduces the Comprehensive Theory of Life Projects as a possible set of guiding assumptions for professional practices in basic education. Before introducing its main theoretical assumptions, I will make a critical analysis of the use of the term 'life project' in other contexts: in the Brazilian assistance service for juvenile offenders, in the public policies of basic education, and in the Brazilian scientific literature. Even though the use of the term in these contexts contributes to the field, the meanings ascribed to the concept have approached it in restricted ways, considering only a small part of its dimensions. The Comprehensive Theory of Life Projects is, then, introduced as the product of the integration of different theoretical perspectives and, thus, values knowledge from different areas.

Palabras clave : life project; basic education; public policies.
