Abstract

DURGANTE, Helen Bedinoto et al. Online positive psychological intervention for health and care professionals. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.1, pp. 15-25. ISSN 1984-7270.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2022v23n202.

This study evaluated the results of an online positive psychological intervention for health promotion of health and care professionals, in six weekly group sessions (2h) to work on strengths/virtues, quasi-experimental design, pre-post and three-month evaluation. Twenty professionals (Female=17) from an association of retirees participated, aged 20-62 years (M=44.15, SD=13.11). The instruments were: sociodemographic questionnaire, Scales of Perceived Stress, Resilience for Elderly-Reduced, Satisfaction with Life, General Health and a visual analog scale. There were improvements in stress, depression, anxiety symptoms, life satisfaction and mood; also when compared to controls after the programme. It is suggested this intervention model be continued to respond to the health demands caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
