DE ANDRADE, Alexsandro Luiz et al. Psychometrics evidences and invariance tests of Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Short form. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.1, pp. 39-50. ISSN 1984-7270.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2022v23n204.

Adaptability is an important meta competence to deal with vocational developmental tasks and occupational transitions. It consists of four dimensions: concern, control, curiosity, and trust. Objective: to present psychometric evidence of the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale - Short Version for Brazil. 1617 adult individuals answered an online survey form. Results showed, based on confirmatory factorial analysis and multigroup procedures, congruence with the theoretical model of four dimensions, with reliability indexes greater than 0.84 (Omega and Alpha). Convergent correlations between the short and complete versions of the CAAS dimensions were all greater than 0.86. Aditional validity evidence showed that the reduced and complete version similarly explains career affects. Practical and scientific applications of the CAAS-SF version are discussed.

Keywords : career adaptability; professional orientation; psychological assessment; validity of the test.
