A brief overview of the practice and the training of therapists shows their dilemmas and questions, including those arising from the patient’s difficulty in relating with his own body, which can lead to stagnation or cessation of treatment, recurrence of symptoms, defensiveness and/or aggressiveness, appearance of regressed and depressive states, among others. The physical therapist had not being educated to understand and tolerate these aspects, which justifies his search for subsidies in psychoanalysis Winnicott
