DIA, Maria de Fátima. The existence psychosomatic: clinical aspects. Winnicott e-prints [online]. 2012, vol.7, n.1, pp. 16-48. ISSN 1679-432X.

In this paper I intend to show the changes occurred in the psychoanalytic clinic from the Winnicotian referential about the psychosomatic questions. A more descriptive clinic, centered on the psychosomatic experiences, permits an understanding of the human being as incarnate. Thus, instead of the idea of a human being marked by the division body/mind, we have an understanding of a psychosomatic existence, i.e. the recognition that a human existence is only possible when supported in a live body. When deviating the focus of the dissociation body/mind, the clinical activity of the analyst is modified, because a new language and new concepts are required for the analytic work. The body of the patient is considered as being the basis of the analytic work.
