Studying the initial stages of the emotional development of human beings, Donald W. Winnicott has found a several characteristic phenomena of that period, which were unknown, or not studied, but, from his point of view, they would be fundamental to the personal maturational process. Over the years, Winnicott had been working out many concepts in order to make explicit the matter, which was surfacing throughout his researches. Subjective object is a central concept in the Winnicott's theory, exactly because into the theoretical aspect, it helps to understand a fundamental point of emotional development, namely, the subjective reality experience, typical in the stage of theoretical first feed. At the same time, this concept is essential to understand certain phenomena that occur in the clinical situation. The purpose of this article is to present the concept of subjective object, distinguishing some essentials aspects of this concept and to seek into the case B some excerpts to illustrate this concept.
