Uses the Winnicott theory, specially the transitioning concept to develop an understanding of these women's experiences. Based o two italian women interviews, it is possible to understand that offering their ancenstrals and villages typical food to the people they cohabit, there was a possibility to be inserted on the new social reality. Food worked as a transitional space between old and new world.
