Abstract

VIGANO, Carlo. The pathological dependences. Mental [online]. 2007, vol.5, n.9, pp. 15-27. ISSN 1679-4427.

The article talks about the pathological dependences and points the change that occurs in this problem's treatment.The focus dislocates from the emphasis in the substance to the subject's personality. The author criticizes the way the Medicine deals with this question, remembering that the body is signified by the subject. He says that the suffering that is present in some symptoms sometimes is linked to a satisfactory social bond. Therefore, the pathological dependence is considered a inhibition. After synthecizing the father's function in the Édipo in two times of the sexuality, he justifies the type of the symptom. Later, he talks about the teenager's contemporary symptom. After presenting briefly a clinical case, he stands out the analysis as a place of virtual body image's elaboration, a place of discovery of the proper body as substratum of the being.
