The objective of the article was to analyze the perceptions of the professionals from a Center of Psychosocial Care for Children and Adolescents (CAPSi) in Southeast, Brazil, on the production of the care for children and adolescents in mental health. It was used qualitative boarding. A total of ten professionals participated in the study. For the collection of data, it was used the technique of the Focal Group. The data were submitted to the analysis of content, based on the method elaborated by Bardin. This generated the following categories of analysis: the Singular Therapeutical Project; the different clinics; the care and the family; and the care and the practices in health care network. The results indicate that the perceptions on the care, mentioned by the professionals of the CAPSi, in its majority, are in accordance with the proposal of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. The study also points out the importance of the child and adolescent's characteristics being covered and emphasized during the process of care.
