Sexual abuse against children, and its consequences to the victim and family, has been the subject of ongoing research and discussion. This study presents a case study of a child who suffered such violence in order to discuss the therapeutic communication process and think about strategies for working with this theme. Over the course of psychotherapy, one can see that the patient showed fear, apprehension of contact with others and the perception that he was a person nerveless. However, therapeutic communication made possible new forms of expression, creativity and spontaneity. The process has been hampered by the high number of faults that can be understood by the child's parents' difficulty in understanding the need for psychotherapy for him. It is understood that the entire family to be engaged in this process, so that difficulties family can also be worked.
