Resumen

UBER, Márcia Lúcia Rieth  y  BOECKEL, Mariana Gonçalves. The practice of family therapy and personal social networks. Pensando fam. [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.2, pp. 108-123. ISSN 1679-494X.

The relationships which give meaning to our lives, and which we name personal social networks, compose an essential part of our identity, at the same time as they enrich our perception of ourselves as social beings. Parting from this point, the present qualitative research has focused on the perception of the importance of the personal social network. Four psychologists and family therapists have taken part in the research. The information was collected from semi-structured interviews and has been analyzed according to Content Analysis. Among the discussions, special emphasis has been given to the relation of the theme with their clinical practice. The process gave us a clear idea of how much our social networks contribute to our social practice, to our vision of the world and of ourselves.

Palabras clave : Social networks; Family therapy; Social constructivism.
