Resumen

This study aims to correlate the development's baby to the variables maternal age, gestational age, parental education, maternal health conditions during pregnancy and birth conditions. We selected 57 mother-infant dyads accompanied the first until the third month of life. Mothers responded to semi-structured interviews in the first month, and the data obtained correlate with motor development evaluation results of babies, recorded from Operating Portage Inventory. Regarding the results, when considered age of mothers, there was a higher percentage of premature births among teenage mothers or over 35 years, with a tendency of the variable age as a risk factor for preterm birth.
